Proverbs

27

1Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

2Let another praise you, and not your own mouth, a stranger, and not your own lips.

3A stone is heavy and sand is a burden, but aggravation from a fool outweighs them both.

4Wrath is cruel and anger is like a flood, but who can withstand jealousy?

5Better an open rebuke than love that is concealed.

6The wounds of a friend are faithful, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

7The soul that is full loathes honey, but to a hungry soul, any bitter thing is sweet.

8Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who wanders from his home.

9Oil and incense bring joy to the heart, and the sweetness of a friend is counsel to the soul.

An Introduction to Jesus – Dr. Charles Stanley

Who He is comes before what He asks of me.

Fully God and fully man. Not half of either.

Ties back to John 1:14. The Word became flesh and lived among us.

AweSurrender

A study of 1,000 churches asked 250,000 people what actually grows a faith. Out of 50 things tested, reflecting on Scripture came first.

That is what VerseGems is for.

Worth asking

Is this just another Bible app?

Most Bible apps stop at reading. VerseGems is built for what comes after: what you write, what you pray, and what you want to remember.

Do I need to be a serious Bible scholar?

Not at all. VerseGems works whether you read one chapter a week or three a day. The only thing you need to do is show up.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free. No credit card, no pressure.

Why I made VerseGems

First of all, welcome! I appreciate you getting to this point. I've been building VerseGems since May 2026, and it has grown my faith immensely. I hope you'll find the same value in it that I have.

I'm very intentional about note-taking and reflecting, and after feeling the pain of notes scattered everywhere, I leaned into digital tools to stay organized. They helped me keep things in one place, but none gave me a way to return to the wisdom that shaped me. That gap sparked the idea for VerseGems.

VerseGems is for anyone who wants to hold onto what they're learning and build a collection of it.

I plan to keep investing time into making it better for you, and into building something that honors and glorifies God.

Thank you for being part of this mission.
